What is radiculopathy?

Radiculopathy is pain, numbness, tingling, or altered sensation in the legs, feet, arms, or hands caused by the irritation of nerves coming from your spine. This can happen on one or both sides, upper or lower body. The source of the pain is coming from an issue at the spine.

How serious is radiculopathy?

The severity depends on the level of pain you are having and the location. It is important to make sure the source of the pain is from the spine and not somewhere along the nerve pathway. This pain can be a result of a bulging disk, stenosis, or a pinched nerve.

How to treat radiculopathy

This can be resolved without surgery. The key is to find out what is causing the irritation of the nerve, resulting in your limb pain. Simple stretches, postural strengthening, manual work and other tools can be used to relieve your pain and prevent it from coming back.
