Can a physical therapist diagnose my injury?

Yes! Physical therapists are musculoskeletal experts! Research states we are even more equipped than physicians at determining the cause of your pain and how to treat it. Skip the middleman, save time, save money, save effort, and come straight to us!

Do I need a physician’s referral to receive treatment?

By law, patients in Virginia can be treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy without a physician’s referral. If utilizing your insurance, a referral may be required by your insurance company for reimbursement purposes. If utilizing our cash services, no referral is needed. Not sure? Give us a call to determine a plan.

What are your rates? How much does this cost?

Our rates vary on your needs and are an excellent investment in YOU! We offer a wide variety of services that address your ability to function. In some cases, we are less expensive than a co-pay.

Shouldn’t I go to a clinic for my therapy?

Not necessarily. Whether in your home, office, practice field, or place of convenience, we can still strengthen and address your deficits just as effective as if you went to a clinic to receive treatment.

What areas do you service?

For mobile visits, we service the Hampton Roads region as well as north eastern North Carolina. This is not a definite boundary, as we can make arrangements. An extra fee may be applied, but if you’re interested in our services, give us a call and we will work it out!

How long is each visit?

Depending on your need and what service you request, sessions can range from 15 minutes to an hour. The time frame ranges due to different services.

How many times a week do I need to schedule?

The frequency of your sessions will be determined after your first visit. Finances are always considered when determining how many times per week is appropriate.

What should I expect the first visit?

The first visit will always consist of lovely paperwork followed by an evaluation to determine what needs to be addressed. For mobile visits, we have portable treatment tables, so please allow for approximately 8’x5′ open space for us to work effectively.

How does telehealth work?

Telehealth is effective in several different scenarios. It is basically video consultation to determine the cause of your pain and how to treat it correctly. We can connect via Skype or Facetime. Just call or email us to set up an appointment.

What is included in a telehealth consultation?

A consultation will include a thorough investigation of your symptoms, followed by a likely diagnosis. If your symptoms are due to something potentially more serious or require immediate attention, information will be given as to who to follow up with. If your symptoms are treatable, you will be instructed on an exercise list to fix the source of your pain. Our goal is to determine the source of your pain and educate you to fix it yourself! Do you accept workers compensation patients?

Yes! In most cases, we can contact your case manager and make it work!
